Premium Stallion, Proven Sire, exquisite type…
The applause and elation of the audience validated the impressive knock down price of 270,000 Euro. The Valentino-Acorado son, Viscount, finished the 2011 Hanoverian Stallion Licensing as the most expensive jumping stallion, and secured himself a stall at the Niedersächsischen Landegestüt Celle.
Viscount was immediately convincing on the triangle with his outstanding conformation, a very good striding walk, and an excellent swinging trot full of impulsion. The beautifully typed stallion set himself apart from the rest even more on Friday. With a consistently uphill canter, tremendous ability, and an excellent style over the jump, he catapulted himself into being one of the favorites of the Niedersachsen hall. The Breeding Evaluation Committee agreed with the audience, and named this stallion bred by Rainer Schuster a Premium stallion. Aptly also worthy of mention is Viscount's flawless character.
In 2012, he completed his stallion performance test in Adelheidsdorf scoring perfect 10's for free-jumping and cross country and 9.5's for temperament, performance readiness, and rideability. He also received 9.0's for his character and canter. In his SPT, his jumping Index was 138, Dressage index 126. Total score was an impressive 8.73
In 2013, he developed into a serial winner in classes for young jumping horses. His unbelievable rideability and motivation brought him dream scores and many first place ribbons. Viscount competed to S level show jumping in Germany.
Viscount's grandsire, Now or Never M has been ranked in the top 10% of the FN Breeding Value Index for the past few years, and ranked right up there with him is his son and Viscount's sire, Valentino, who was given an outstanding index of 158/88% in 2012. Now or Never was stationed in 2003 at the State Stud Celle in order to bring the valuable genes of the Hanoverian sire, Voltaire, who left to found a stallion line in the Netherlands, back to Hanover. As the Licensing Champion in the Netherlands, Now or Never had the advantage of producing several sons who achieved excellent performance results. This laid the foundation for Now or Never's high breeding value index. Confirming the index even further have been the results of the mare performance tests of his daughters, and the achievements in sport of offspring such as Voltaire (KWPN) who was already internationally successful at the age of eight.
Now or Never's son, Valentino, follows in the footsteps of his sire ranking always in the top % of FN values and world rankings. He won the jumping division of his 2005 Stallion Performance Test with an incredible scores of 9.6 for jumping ability and noteworthy 9's for temperament and willingness, and competed to S level jumping. Valentino has gone on to be an incredible sire, of many top level jumpers, event horses and even dressage horses a sire for the ages.
Son, Viscerado, was Vice Bundeschampion of 4-year-old dressage jumping horses in 2019. Son Vidar was a bronze medalist for Hanoverian 4 yr old dressage horses in 2018 and in 2019 placed 4th overall for 5 yr old dressage horses. at the Bundeschampionat in Germany.
Viscount has sired 5 approved sons, 3 in the hanoverian stud book, 31 state premium mares/cadidates, as well as a large number of auction horses and foals. He has 246 registered Hanoverian offspring out in sport and has sired S level horses in both Jumping and Dressage, as well as multiple successful event horses and here in North America, Viscount already has many successful offspring in the hunter ring.
Viscount has a very high index for type 119, which includes a 130 for neck, 128 for head and 119 for breed and sex type. His Jumping breeding index is 124, with a 128 for Technique and 121 for scope. His FN breeding values include a 125 for jumping and a 114 for dressage, showing off his very well rounded siring ability. On top of beautiful type, movement and jump Viscount is know for siring, one of the main attributes that all breeders know about him is his ability to throw a superb temperament. His offspring display an excellent willingness to work, and very high rideabilty.

LF Surreal's sire is a 1995 Imported 16.3 hh Grey Stallion by Sandro x Calwiene
Jumping Index of 133+
Sir Caletto’s pedigree includes the direct combination of two successful international show jumping stallions, sire Sandro and dam’s sire Caletto I. Both stallions join the elite lineup of Holsteiner stallions considered worthy of being accepted and even welcomed into the Hanoverian breeding registry.
Sir Caletto is approved for breeding by five registries: Hanoverian, ISR NA, Oldenburg (German), Swedish and NA/WPN Dutch Hunter. He himself was bred in Germany (the Hanoverian approved Holstein stallion Sandro to Hanoverian dam Calwiene) by Wolfgang Schwanke. He was then seen and purchased by Paul Schockemohle in Verden through Dr. Ulf Moller as a yearling. You may recognize Ulf Moller as the most capable dressage rider for Ullrich Kasselmann of Performance Sales International (PSI Auctions).
Sandro | Caletto I | Cor de la Bryere

Sandro daughters, after mare performance testing, show tremendous aptitude for jumping with indexes of 162/showjumping, 153/technique and 161/scope. Sandro progeny have won over 650,000 DM in competition with 553 actively competitive successful sons and daughters. Caletto I daughters are equally impressive with indexes of 144/show jumping, 147/technique and 138/scope with a rideability index of 127. These statistics are according to Dr. Ludwig Christmann of the German Hanoverian Verband in its annual breed value book.
Sir Caletto will be of interest to breeders who are excited by the real potential for developing jumping stock with a high degree of rideability as well as a beautiful type that will be a complementary cross for Hanoverian, Oldenburg, Swedish Warmblood and Thoroughbred Mares.
The Hanoverian pedigree from the dam’s side is a power pack of performance talent: Wienerwald produced numerous top show jumpers for the highest of demands including Wieland, Winzer, Wiener Domspatz and WeiBe Dame. The great grand dam Diana (together with Pik As xx) gave birth to the top competition horses Galipolis (Gerd Wiltfang), Golden Gate 4 (Otto Becker) Queensway Big Q (Harvey Smith) (all by Gotthard) and Wiener Penny (Jurgen Kapp). The latter is a full sister of the grand dam Wiener Blut. The successful sport horse and sire Rickmer (Ritual) is also out of this bloodline.
Sir Caletto’s pedigree carries internationally known Holstein blood and Thoroughbred lines (the same dam lineage as the Rhenic dressage sire Prinz Muthagen). After completion of his 100 day test and competition as a five-year-old, he was initially utilized for breeding purposes in Sweden. He was also used in the Schockemohle breeding program where he was purchased in 2002 by Silverhorne Sporthorse.
