Breeding information

We had amazing news recently that we want to share with all of you! The Oldenburg NA has issued Good as Gold a new "limited" breeding license, which is excellent news! This is a "brand new" category with the Oldenburg NA/ISR for quality stallions with "special circumstances" such as Laddie's passing away only 6 weeks before his final stallion test. He was in super shape for the test, doing amazingly well in dressage under saddle (if you have not seen his clinic video with Olympian Bent Jensen, please visit Good as Gold's page). There also photos showing his excellent, scopey jumping style.

Good as Gold was previously approved for breeding and issued a "Certified Breeding License" at his Stallion approval at Hilltop Farm, earning "Reserve Champion Sporthorse Stallion" behind "Navarone", a much older and confirmed GP stallion bred by VDL Stud (who also owned Good as Gold's sire, Goodtimes). What this means is that Good as Gold will be able to have at least 20 additional Main registry Oldenburg NA foals (out of qualifying mares), and not including the 9 foals he has due this year. We are so excited to be able to share him with all of you, as we have just enough frozen semen to be able to offer him this year to approved mares. Laddie sired Hilltop Farm's Reserve Champion Sporthorse Filly "Gold and Pearls" in 2010, and is bred to some fantastic mares for this Spring including 2 Idocus mares, A Galiani (Gaugin de Lully ) & also the Dam of the Premium filly mentioned above and other proven mares. Please inquire if you are interested in one of these very limited breedings...we plan on keeping at least 5 for ourselves, so we have 15 or less to sell. Good as Gold will offer you his amazing movement, uphill build, very modern type and fantastic bloodlines as well as a chance to have a foal with all of the above AND a golden coat!

4. Wait at least 7 days after paying for your breeding and sending your signed breeding contract to call Select Breeders to request and pay for the Fedex charges for your shipment of semen and arrange for the deposit on the shipping container and shipping charges.

5. Have your veterinarian familiar with frozen semen inseminate your mare, notify us of her pregnancy status, and then wait for your "Golden" foal to be born in 2013!

**Mistral Hojris A Dansk Varmblod by Michellino (Damsire to Good as Gold) is now SECOND IN THE WORLD for Dressage (Aug 2010)! Hojris has also been to the Olympics, won individual bronze medal at the Europeans and team silver and has multiple wins in world cup events.
